[edit] OpenTMS downloads

The different actual OpenTMS Version can be found here: Download@openTMS.de and that's where the problem starts, because there are currently (during the development phase) different downloads and different information regarding the OpenTMS installation available.

[edit] Source code download

Die source code is hosted at http://sourceforge.net/projects/open-tms.

From OpenTMS.de you can download the actual openTMS.jar file including the source code. (3,3MB)

This file is part of the Windows installation also. You can find in the folder \OpenTMS\lib\)

The following Microsoft Windows installers are available to download on OpenTMS.de

The installation files for the Data Source Editor as part of the openTMS XML-RPC server for Microsoft Windows can be downloaded here.

[edit] Araya Free Version

  1. The Araya openTMS XLIFF editor version including a openTMS plugin can be downloaded from Heartsome.de. The name of the 34,7MB file is araya-opentms.exe. This version comes without the datasourceeditor.exe
  2. From xliff.net which which redirects to Heartsome.de you can download a file with a different filesize (34,9MB) named araya-freeversion.exe that comes with datasourceeditor.exe Version 0.6.5.
  3. When the second version is installed and you try to install the first one, you get the folling information regarding the differences:
    1. Setup has detected an existing version of araya-freeversion.
      1. Installing Version: 17.06 OpenTMS Xliff Editor
      2. Existing Version: 17.06 freeversion with OpenTMS v0.3
  4. If you run the installation to another path on your PC, you will find out, that the first installer includes the OpenTMS Data Source Editor while the second only includes a OpenTMS plugin. 
There might be more difference between this installers, so this should be clarified.

On the English download site there is also the following information available:

To use the openTMS-Core-Server VM please download Sun VirtualBox from virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads. 

When this is needed has to be clarified!

[edit] Apache XAMPP server

In the installation instructions PDF file (Install OpenTMS Server.pdf) there is also a hint that for some funtionalities a XAMPP server including the PHP environment might be needed. Apache XAMPP also comes with a MySQL database and the Mercury email server and client and can also be used to set up a Mediawiki like the OpenTMS wiki. 

When this is needed has to be clarified! (See also: Help:OpenTMS installation)

Additionally you will find a Open Source XLIFF editor download on OpenTMS.de.
