In the OpenTMS Specification Version 1.1 there is a information about a development process in 3 phases. Additionally, the following OpenTMS roadmap has been published on http://www.OpenTMS.de.

openTMS Web Interface	July 2009	a stable GUI for a lightweight operation over the web.
openTMS Server	November 2009	Server with documented interfaces for integration in other processes and for connection to other systems
openTMS-Transedit	March 2010	Editor for translators
openTMS-Termedit	July 2010	Editor for the terminology component
openTMS-Suite	November 2010	"complete package" for the translation process incl. basic financial functionalities
